Why enter?
Established for over a decade, Recofloor is recognised in the industry as the leading collection scheme for recycling vinyl flooring. If you are a Recofloor member committed to diverting vinyl flooring from landfill and for reducing CO2 emissions, there is no better time to enter.
Successful or not, entering the awards is a great way to get recognition for your vinyl recycling success stories, boost team motivation for taking part in the sustainability journey, and support the industry.
Winners will be able to highlight sustainability credentials to prospective customers, plus you’ll get free publicity for your business with the awards being announced on our website and over social media, as well as industry media magazines.
Are there prizes?
In addition to trophies and certificates for you to display, winners of the main categories will receive:
- A Recofloor Award voucher up to £250 to be redeemed towards a dining experience at a chosen restaurant to celebrate the big news with your team. Alternatively, you can choose to make a charity donation in your name.
- A special feature in the CFJ and other publications ensuring that your good work is given the high profile it deserves in front of key audiences. In addition we will offer the option to have professional photos taken at your location.
- Up to 15 Recofloor T-shirts and other goodies.
- An invitation to either Altro or Polyflor UK plants for up to two people.
- A winners’ digital logo to make the most of your award.
- Contractors will receive a 1 tonne (4 Recofloor bulk bags) collection free of charge.
Who can enter?
We welcome entries from all Recofloor members who joined the scheme before Jun 2021 and who actively participated during 2022.
There are six open categories – whatever the size of your business; whether you’re a distributor or contractor, the Recofloor Awards are designed to give members the opportunity to enter one or more categories.
As well as the open categories, there is also the Greatest Improver Award where the top three companies based on the growth in their tonnages collected from 2021 to 2022 will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for tonnages collected throughout the year. (All Recofloor members who took part in 2022 are entered automatically for these).
Does it take a lot of time to enter?
No. Entering is simple and straightforward. Simply choose your category, and answer the questions as best you can.
What’s the closing date?
The closing date is Friday 17th February 2023.
Who are the judges?
Entries will be judged by the Recofloor team and representatives from scheme founders Altro and Polyflor.
When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced in March, via social media, industry publications and on our website.
What happens after the winners announcement?
The winners will be contacted and a winner’s pack with all prizes will be posted. Recofloor’s PR representative will contact each company for the advertising opportunity.
