Welcome to my Wednesday. We opened the batting with a trip to Middlesex Flooring, the Recofloor Contractor of the Year for 2017. There, we had a really productive photo shoot with Ash, Craig and Jim. We took loads of action shots of the lads. The photos have turned out really well and we’ll soon be using them in our marketing activities.
Next up was a visit to Carpet and Flooring, Bow where I met with Rob. We discussed the Recofloor scheme and how waste transfer notes work. It was a useful meeting and I think that this year they will collect a great amount of material.
In the evening, I went along to the Business Green Awards event because we were nominated for Circular Economy Project of the Year. We heard a very impassioned speech by Christiana Figures who was the architect of the renowned Paris Climate agreement. Unfortunately, on this occasion we didn’t come away a winner.
Thursday was a long day. The first stop was Carpet and Flooring, Camberley. We had a great chat where we discussed signage and other ideas to boost collections in the area.
It then took me an age to get to Safety Flooring Supplies, which is near Heathrow. I handed out some goodies as I do on all of these visits and we talked about Recofloor and how well they are doing.
The final step of the adventure was getting home. I had to stand all the way from Reading to Stockport which let me tell you is much further than I thought and apparently an extremely popular route!
If you would like a visit from a Recofloor representative to talk about how the scheme can work for you, please get in touch.
