The entrant or nominee must:

– Be a flooring contractor or independent fitter.
– Have provided good quality vinyl that meets Recofloor specifications.
– Have used their local flooring distributor for disposal of the waste vinyl throughout 2025.
– Have kept good communication and a smooth relationship with their local distributor in relation to Recofloor.
– Actively promote and use the scheme when possible.
– Have a positive attitude towards improved sustainability.

Points to consider:

Very little information about the drop-off site users is usually known by the Recofloor team. You will increase the chances of winning if you are able to consider the below points in your entry to us.

  • Briefly tell us a little about your business. (e.g., Independent fitter/contractor or part of a company, years of trading, involvement within the commercial vinyl sector/jobs, expansions or how you have overcome difficulties in the past).
  • How did you hear about and get involved with Recofloor? If known, mention the years of engagement.
  • How is Recofloor used on a day-to-day basis, for example, how is the collection of the material done? Is it a collaborative or an individual effort? What measures to minimise the risk of contamination have been put in place? Include any changes you had to implement to accommodate the scheme from when you first started using it.
  • What sort of projects or installations do you use Recofloor on during 2025?
  • How frequently and which flooring distributor/drop-off site did you mainly use during 2025? How would you rate the relationship with them regarding Recofloor, where 1 is extremely dissatisfied and 5 is extremely satisfied.
  • How has using Recofloor benefitted your business? What steps have you taken or would you take to ensure you maximise the benefits of the scheme for your business?
  • How do you promote Recofloor with clients or within your company?
  • From a wider viewpoint, how are you working towards becoming a more sustainable business, what initiatives and practices have been put in place to cover this issue.
  • Any other comments, details you would like to include.

Entries for this category will be shortlisted and judged based on the level of detail given on the entry and assessed on company size. There may be more than one winner.
