Recofloor Impact

Veitchi actively recycles vinyl flooring offcuts and works closely with Recofloor to reduce waste and divert materials from landfill. A standout example is the Baird & Anchor Project at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where 10 tonnes of vinyl offcuts were collected and recycled through Recofloor. Larger sections were also reused on other NHS projects, further reducing waste.

More recently, the company installed Polyflor Forest FX at both the Turriff Hospital Refurbishment and Royal Cornhill Hospital Kildrummy Ward Office Refurbishment, with all vinyl offcuts collected and returned to Recofloor recycling containers at Veitchi’s premises.

Through early planning, clear communication and close collaboration with project teams, Veitchi has shown that sustainable flooring practices can be seamlessly integrated into day-to-day operations.
