– You are a flooring distributor running a Recofloor drop-off point.
– Members of staff are aware of the presence of Recofloor on site, its specifications, and the waste collection service.
– Material collected during 2025 was good quality vinyl suitable for recycling obtained from local contractors or fitters, as well as your own offcuts/roll-ends.
– You actively promote Recofloor to customers.
– Your collections run smoothly and good communication has been established with the Recofloor team and throughout your business.
– Your business takes sustainability seriously.
– Only single branch entries are permitted

Your entry should be between 200-400 words in length, and if possible include two neat photos of your work with Recofloor. Try to cover as many of the entry points below as you can and remember, the more details you can give the better your chances are of winning! Photos taken by a smart phone are usually fine.

Points to consider:

  • Briefly tells us about your business (e.g., years of trading, expansions or how you have overcome difficulties in the past).
  • Briefly mention how Recofloor was introduced to your business and if you had to implement any changes to accommodate the scheme on your site and/or any challenges you have overcome.
  • Tell us how Recofloor operations normally run in your business, for example: Who and how are the bins monitored? Who looks after the scheme on a day-to-day basis? How do you minimize the risk of contamination in the collection containers?
  • Have you had to implement any changes to your site or how have you adapted to use the Recofloor scheme during 2025?
  • In general what methods/tools do you use to promote Recofloor to your staff and to your customers? You can include details about marketing activity you have done in relation to the scheme.
  • How does using Recofloor benefit your company?
  • Please provide examples of any customer feedback that you have received with regards to Recofloor during 2025.
  • From a wider viewpoint, how are you working towards becoming a more sustainable business, what measures and business practices have been put in place to cover this issue?
  • How do you see your involvement and relationship within the scheme and what changes would you like to see in the future?
  • Crucially, why do you think you should win an award?
  • Any other comments, details you would like to include.

Entries for this category will be shortlisted and judged based on the level of detail given on the entry and assessed on company size and there may be more than one winner.  

As part of your entry, you have the chance to enter and nominate:  

  • A Recofloor Champion - someone within your company who goes the extra mile to ensure the scheme is utilised at its best in your company.
  • A Drop-off Site User of the Year - someone who uses your drop-off site, and you think is worthy of winning a Recofloor Award.
